Welcome to the Emmaus Animals Junior Football Club. Our home ground is Bennettswood Reserve right next to Deakin University on Burwood Highway, Burwood. Our club has a strong tradition of encouraging kids from grade 2 to grade 6 to join our U10 and U12 football teams and develop their AFL skills under the care and guidance of our excellent coaching team. We are a club that welcomes boys and girls to play alongside each other in mixed teams with varying levels of football skills. Not all of our players have come through Auskick, so that is not a pre-requisite for joining and playing for our club. Our club plays in the Saturday Footy League, a competition that has stayed true to Saturday footy and gives your weekends back after kids sports have finished on a Saturday morning. The league does not promote a “win at all costs” approach but rather nurtures a sense of achievement, teamwork and fun.

Our U10 and U12 teams train on Wednesday nights (from late March through to the end of August), 5.00pm at Bennettswood Reserve, right next to Deakin University in Burwood. We play our competition matches on Saturday mornings in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Our U10s play at 8.45am and U12s at 10.00am. Competition is finished by around 11.30 am every Saturday morning.
Registration and Fees
Fees for the 2020 season will be $185 for the first player registration, and a reduced fee for subsequent children. The fees are inclusive of a personalised Emmaus Animals training jersey/hoodie, team photo, trophies and player insurance.
Every player will be issued with a Club Guernsey at the beginning of the season. Our Guernsey presentation night is a great chance to meet other families who are involved with kids footy and lets the new players meet their new teammates.
Players are required to wear protective headwear (available from all good sporting stores).
Players will need their own navy blue football shorts, navy blue football socks and footy boots.
Mouthguards must also be worn.
